What Cellular Network Is 0975

Types of Cellular Networks From Generations To Generations

There are many Philippine’s mobile network providers, such as Touch Mobile, Sun Cellular, Globe, Smart, Cherry Prepaid, Talk ‘N Text, and ABS-CBN Mobile. So, it is quite hard to find out which network a prefix belongs to. What cellular network is 0975? This prefix belongs to Globe Telecoms or Touch Mobile or also known as TM. Do you know that cellular networks evolve from time to time? Below are types of cellular networks from generations to generations.

1G

The car radio technology became the forerunner of the birth of the 1G network technology a.k.a the first generation of cellular networks. This first network generation refers to the technology that is already used in cellular communication devices a.k.a cell phones or mobile phones. This 1G technology uses a network with an analog system. It is known as AMPS or Advanced Mobile Phone System. This first generation was used for the very first time in 1970, when the microprocessor technology was found for the need for wireless communication technology. This technology can only send voices.

2G

The analog network system started to be left behind when the cellphone technology entered the second generation, which is 2G. This technology was commercially introduced back then in 1991. In this second generation network, mobile phones evolved. They did not only support the voice sending technology but also text, which is also known as SMS or Short Message Service. This second network generation produced some network technologies. The most popular ones are CDMA and GSM. Besides GSM and CDMA, there were other network technologies, such as PHPS, iDEN, TDMA, DECT, and PDC.

3G

3G network technology is the evolution of cellular networks that is quicker compared to the previous 2 generations. It is because in this third generation, people can use their mobile phones to comfortably surf and explore the internet, including to access videos on the internet. Moreover, the presence of 3G network made people able to use their mobile phones to send an email, send instant messages, watch videos, and even made a video call.

The 3G network then known as mobile broadband since it can be used to surf the internet. The 3G network technology was commercially introduced for the first time in 2001 in Japan. In 2002, South Korea claimed that they used technology that can transfer data up to 2Mbps. The 3G technology itself is a standard that was then set by ITU or International Telecommunication Union.

4G LTE

The fourth network generation is called 4G LTE. LTE is the abbreviation of Long Term Evolution that refers to the evolution of the increasing GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA networks that have data rates of up to 100 Mbps, or more. This 4G LTE network has a different spectrum from 2G and 3G networks. This network was launched for the very first time on December 14th, 2009 in Stockholm and Oslo.

Various smartphones today support the 4G LTE network. It is because many network providers already support the 4G LTE network.

5G

The fifth generation of cellular network technology is 5G. This technology replaces the 4G LTE network. The speed of this cellular network is Gbps or Gigabyte per second instead of Mbps. This 5G network is based on technology known as OFDM or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexin. This technology is a digital signal modulation method on different channels to reduce signal interference. This technology is a digital signal modulation method on different channels to reduce signal interference.

The interface used by the 5G network is NRAir. Thanks to this interface, this 5G network can enhance OFDM so that it creates a much higher level of flexibility and scalability.
